It is not a character flaw or a sign of personal weakness.
You canít make yourself well by trying to "snap out of it."
Although it can run in families, you canít catch it from someone else.

Why a web page on self-harm/mental health?

I have friends and family that know I personally self-harm and have never asked about it. These same people know of my other diagnosis but seem hesitant to ask about them also.  I thought this would be a good forum to share with them and with others who want to know more.

I  have also wanted to learn more about myself and have researched many web sites for information. I wanted to have one place to come to for the illnesses that effect me personally.  I have added many links to other sites that can add a great deal more information.
